Cheryl Godbout, LICSW

Cheryl Godbout, LICSW, earned her Master of Social Work from Boston University School of Social Work in 1999. She completed an internship at North End Community Health Center in Boston, conducting individual counseling with elders and leading a female support group for women, as well as an internship at Volunteers of American/Hello House in Boston, where she provided individual therapy for male clients struggling with substance abuse. After attaining her Masters, Ms. Godbout held clinical positions at Catholic Charities in Brockton, Arbour Counseling in Jamaica Plain, and Boston Institute for Psychotherapy in Brookline, where she worked as an outpatient clinician providing therapy for clients from childhood through adulthood who presented with a range of clinical issues. She was the Social Services Department Manager at Somerville Home from 2003-2007, where she coordinated services, facilitated referrals for psychiatry care, and supervised social work interns. Ms. Godbout was the Director of Social Services at Kindred Healthcare in Braintree, MA for several years, providing coordination of care to residents as well as supervision of staff and interns. Before joining PCA, Ms. Godbout served as Social Work Supervisor at Harbor Healthcare in Mattapan from 2010-2014, and later served as the Social Work Manager from 2014-2019, where she provided individual support to clients, co-led therapeutic groups, participated on several committees, and provided supervision to employees and interns. Ms. Godbout provides evaluation and treatment of adults in PCA’s North Andover office.
