Emily Ross, LICSW provides individual therapy and family therapy using a nurturing, supportive approach to therapy to treat a wide variety of mental health and environmental issues for children and adolescents ranging in age from 3-20. She offers evidence-based practice through a developmental lens and uses a holistic approach to treatment. Therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, expressive art therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness-based interventions, and social skill support and training. Emily specializes in treating anxiety, depression, symptoms of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, developmental disabilities, and adjustment disorders. She is skilled in working with children and adolescents who have experienced issues relating to trauma, oppositional behavior, self esteem, adjustment, adoption, gender identity, school refusal, social and interpersonal skills, and a wide range of behavioral issues in the home, school, and community. She has experience in therapeutic school settings, a residential treatment program, and in community-based in-home programs. Emily began her studies at Colby-Sawyer College where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Child Development with additional studies in Sociology, and went on to obtain a Master of Social Work at Wheelock College.
