Lisa M. Zakhary, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Zakhary joined PCA in 2012. She received her M.D and a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from Harvard Medical School in 2007 and completed her residency at Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts and is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. She is published in the journals: Neuron and Colorectal Disease and in the Handbook of Stem Cells and The MGH/McLean Residents’ Handbook. Dr. Zakhary is a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Clinical Associate in Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital where she serves as Co-Director of Psychopharmacology of the OCD and Related Disorders Program, Director of Psychopharmacology, of the Excoriation Clinic and Research Unit, provides psychotherapy and psychopharmacologic evaluation and treatment in the Primary Care Psychiatry and OCD & Related Disorders Programs, and consults to the Department of Dermatology where she established a clinic for the evaluation and treatment of dermatologic conditions with psychiatric elements and/or consequences.  Dr. Zakhary provide psychotherapy and psychopharmacological evaluation and management for adults at PCA’s Arlington Office.
