Melinda S. Warner, Ed.D., ABPdN  provides evidence-based psychological treatments to children, adolescents, and adults to address anxiety disorders, depression, adjustment to changes in life circumstances, mood disorders, stress-related disorders (e.g., headache, chronic pain, IBS, insomnia, hypertension), and health-behavior/lifestyle changes. She utilizes a variety of modalities depending on clients’ needs and ability to tolerate a given approach. These include, but are not limited to, stress-management/relaxation techniques, mindfulness-based interventions, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Adults navigating changes in their careers and relationships work with Dr. Warner on defeating their negative, limiting beliefs.  Dr. Warner uses a relational, play-based approach with very young children, and a more verbal, problem-based approach with older children. CBT counseling is available when or if Dr. Warner feels it would be the most effective modality.

Dr. Warner is also board-certified at the Diplomate level in Pediatric Neuropsychology and provides neuropsychological evaluations and consultations for children from birth through age 18 as well as young adults with developmental concerns, as well as for adults and geriatric patients. She specializes in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for individuals with neurological injuries or diseases including dementia, medical conditions that may affect cognition, developmental disorders (e.g., ADHD, autism spectrum, intellectual and learning disabilities), and emotional problems that can affect personal relationships, work/school, and/or social functioning.  Dr. Warner provides therapy and assessment in our Lynnfield office.
