Suzanne R. Merlis, Psy.D. received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2002.  She completed her Internship Training at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Adult Ambulatory Services, and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Family Systems & Health at the Chicago Center for Family Health, following which she joined the faculty there.  Dr. Merlis has held positions at a variety of treatment centers providing, supervising and training direct care including The Marjorie Kovler Center for Treatment of Survivors of Trauma in Chicago, IL, Powers Ferry Psychological Associates in Dunwoody, GA, the Venice Family Clinic in Santa Monica, CA.  She has also held teaching and research positions at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, CA,Georgia State University ad The Dekalb, Georgia Board of Health Center for Torture and Trauma, and the Chicago Center for Family Health.  Dr. Merlis joins PCA in its collaboration with Charles River Medical Associates to integrate behavioral health care into the primary care setting.  She offers evaluation, consultation, treatment and referral guidance for patients and families at CRMA’s Marlborough office.
